An Unhappy Tail with a Happy Ending
Chinese Herbal Case (A Tale of an Unhappy Tail with a Happy Ending):
Duke came to us for a very red, inflamed and oozy tail. The tail was clipped and cleaned and the owner was given Chinese herbs and antibiotics. After 3 days the tail was much improved and the owner had elected to NOT use the antibiotics but had used the Chinese herbal formulation alone (the tail was too painful to be hot packed or soaked). The second photo is two weeks later and the hair has mostly regrown. We do not know what precipitated the skin problem and it never reoccurred.
